There has never been a simpler, faster, and more beautiful way to scan your old photos. Today I will be telling you about the time I unveiled the old photographs from my granny’s trunk. As you can probably tell, I am pretty obsessed with old stuffs around here. A single trunk, and the mementos inside, have the power to tell an unbelievable story–the story of a life lived, true love, or a memorable event.
Seeing her collection, I thought about my memories. People who ‘were’ close to me. And then about people who ‘are’ close to me. It is without a doubt that the memories created over these past year will never be forgotten.
AGAIN…I wore one of her sarees from the trunk. I pinned all the pictures she had collected on the rope hanging in the room (including cobwebs). One of the pictures was of Maharani Gayatri Devi’s. She was the third Queen of Jaipur from 1939 to 1970. Such beauty. Such elegance. Every girl dreams to have this grace and charm. At least I dream.
Isn’t it a question why granny collected these pictures? She too was struck by her beauty. She told me that she fancied that royal Rajputana lifestyle Maharani lived. She told me that Maharani was an excellent rider, Polo player, was good at shot and enjoyed many days out on ‘Shikars’ (hunting). She was also fond of cars and drove the best ones. WOW!
