In this popular series of our interviews with India’s top fashion bloggers, we carry on with Rashi Gaur from “Blah And More”. Having a master’s degree in English literature & Fashion management, Rashi has turned up to be an avid fashion blogger. Her passion for poetry triggered her interest into writing. Working for an IT firm gave her the direction she required to start her own fashion blog in 2012. Let’s get to know her better with the following questionnaire.

Q.1 About You – Tell us about your education, profession and passion.

..it’s only words, and words that all i’ve to take your heart away!
Haha. This song by Bee Gees is the apt one if someone would ask me about my life. All my life I’ve been playing with words; be it in the form of poetry, or published articles and my blogs.

When I wrote my first poetry at the age of 8, I never knew that writing is something that I was born to do. But gradually this interest became my passion and then a vocation.
Being a Masters’ in English literature, I even studied these ‘words’ and then a second Masters’ in Fashion Management from NIFT gave those words a proper direction.

Working for an IT giant triggered my liking towards ‘Fashion Writing’ a little more and I started my blog in 2012.

Q.2 Which is the best season you like and what’s your best wear in that season?

Wedding season. And Festive too. I love playing dress-up. And to add to that grandeur, i’d love to flaunt my elaborated lehenga-cholis and sarees.

Q.3 The best place which you have visited till now? What is the best thing about that place?

There can never be one place that can satisfy one’s hunger for awesomeness. If I love Andaman’s for its pretty beaches, I also love Pondicherry for its French touch and beautiful cafes. It can be Rishikesh for its calmness and it can also be Chandni Chowk for its hustle bustle.
But yeah, Singapore can be one place that tops the list. It’s a wonderland for any shopaholic, like me.

Q.4 When did you first think about Fashion Blogging and what are the requirements to become a Good Fashion Blogging?

Once a writer, always a writer. And it was my need to pen down all the thoughts coming to my creative abilities somewhere that I thought of starting a blog. It started off with a forgotten account on blogspot followed by a corporate career as a Content and Marketing communications writer/manager and then finally realizing the scope of creative abundance in a self-managed website. And Blah and More was born.

There are no prerequisite talent required to become a blogger. If you’re a storyteller, you’re good to go. Any content, if presented well, will fetch an audience meant for it, sooner or later. But yeah! Being consistent and unique are the two keys to success.

Q.5 Who is the best Diva to follow in terms of fashion, from Bollywood? Which is the best dress you like her wearing?

Deepika Padukone. Be it her saree and lehenga looks during her wedding series or her International gowns and elaborated attires for Cannes appearances; she’s one fashion diva that inspires one and many by the way she carries each look with such grace and poise.

Q.6 What is the Inspirational Success Quote you would like to give our readers?

Don’t be silly Darling. Everybody wants to be Us. – Miranda Priestly, The Devil Wears Prada.

We at Indian Wedding Saree are thankful to Rashi Gaur (Blah And More) for sparing her valuable time for us. We wish her good luck, success & health in the future.
