After getting a great response from our readers on this exclusive interview series, we are back with Chandana Munipalle from “The Girl At First Avenue”. She started her career in the IT sector, completed her MBA & started this blog along. After MBA Chandana continued her blog as a full time business & is since portraying her ideas on the same. She thinks that pursuing her passion for writing, art, creativity & styling through her blog is the perfect career option. Let’s get to know some more interesting facts about her.
Q.1 About You – Tell us about your education, profession and passion.
I did my engineering, worked in the IT sector for 3 years, then did my MBA. Through all of this, I had been blogging on the side. It began to pick up organically and soon after my MBA, I decided to take it up full time and began to build my business around it.
I’ve always had a creative mind and writing has been one of my passions since childhood. So blogging in a way, was the perfect career option for me where I could purse my love for writing, creativity, art and styling.
Q.2Which is the best season you like and what’s your best wear in that season?
Bright sunny weather is my favourite. Not the Indian summers when it’s scorching hot, but more like tropical island weather where it’s perfectly and pleasantly warm and there’s lot of sunshine. I dislike rainy and cold weather and can’t stand winters at all.
So for tropical summers I love wearing maxi dresses, shorts, cottons and cute camisoles and crop tops. Minimalism at its best!
Q.3The best place which you have visited till now? What is the best thing about that place?
I’ve visited Interlaken in Switzerland and loved it for its picturesque buildings and lakes. Prague for its history and culture. Goa for everything! I visit goa at least once every year and it has something to offer in every single season.
Q.4When did you first think about Fashion Blogging and what are the requirements to become a Good Fashion Blogger?
I don’t really consider myself a fashion blogger. I’m more of a lifestyle blogger and travel & fashion tend to be a big part of that lifestyle.
I never thought about fashion blogging. It’s just something I came across during my blogging journey. I started blogging because I loved writing, and I came across a few personal style blogs. I liked the idea so I started documenting my style as well and the rest is history.
There’s no such requirement to become a fashion blogger. You just need to have a clear idea for yourself as to what you want to talk about, what sort of content you enjoy creating, and what is it that you want to offer to your audience.
Q.5Who is the best Diva to follow in terms of fashion, from Bollywood? Which is the best dress you like her wearing?
I don’t really follow Bollywood fashion. I’m more inspired by street style bloggers.
